Sign in and create your first space
Sign in with Google, then set up the space for your business, with its name, its laudely.com address and its default language.
A space is one business or brand in Laudely, with its own collect page, standalone page and reviews. You don't need a website of your own: both pages are at laudely.com. You set it up once, right after you sign in for the first time.
Open the login page, Log in to Laudely.
Press Continue with Google and choose your Google account.
Google is the only way to sign in today. By continuing, you agree to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
Create your space
If your account has no space yet, Laudely takes you straight to Create a space.
In Name, type your business name as customers know it (up to 80 characters).
Check the Slug. Laudely fills it in from the name, and you can change it. Under it, Your collect page and Your standalone page show the two addresses it makes.
Choose your Default language, the language most of your reviews are written in.
Press Create.
Choose your slug with care
The slug is the part of your addresses that names your business. Your collect page is at laudely.com/r/your-slug and your standalone page is at laudely.com/your-slug.
It has 3 to 30 characters.
It uses lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens only, with no hyphen at the start or end.
Words that Laudely needs for its own pages, such as pricing, docs, dashboard and login, are reserved. A slug that another business already uses isn't available either.
Laudely makes the slug from the Latin letters and numbers in the name. When that gives fewer than 3 characters, as with a name written in Chinese, Japanese or Thai, it fills in shop- followed by 4 random letters and numbers instead, such as shop-k3x9. Change it before you press Create if you can: your business name in English letters works best.
You can change the slug only once, later in Settings > General. After that, it's locked. When you change it, links with the old slug stop working, including QR codes you've printed and links you've already sent to customers.
So settle on your slug before you print QR codes, table cards or flyers. The note under the field on Create a space says the same. If you keep a shop- slug, the Get started: get your first review and share it card on Overview reminds you to check it before you share your standalone page, with a Change it in Settings button. Review walls on your website don't use the slug, so they keep working either way.
What the name and default language are used for
Customers see your space's name in the title of your collect page, in the consent sentence they tick, on the thank-you page and on your standalone page. It's also filled into the invitation templates on Invite customers.
The default language is used in a few places:
It's the first language of the invitation templates.
Your weekly email uses it for your collect link.
If you switch on translation, visitors whose language you haven't turned on see reviews from your collect page in this language.
You can change the name and the default language later in Settings > General. Press Save at the bottom of the page to keep your changes.
What happens next
You land on Overview for your new space. The Get started: get your first review and share it card at the top shows what to do first; see Get started on your Overview page. Your links and QR codes are under Preview and share, further down the page.
Laudely picks a sending time for your weekly email. You can change it in Account.
To use the dashboard in another language, open the language menu at the top of any dashboard page. It offers 9 languages.
Limits by plan: Free: 1 space. Starter: 1 space included, and you can add more at US$5 a month or US$50 a year each, up to 10. A space can't be deleted on its own; it's deleted together with your account.
