Laudely has two sides with their own languages. Your dashboard and emails come in 9 languages, and the pages your customers see in 12.
Laudely has two sides, and each has its own list of languages. One side is what you use to run Laudely. The other is what your customers and website visitors see.
Your side: 9 languages
The dashboard and the emails Laudely sends you are available in English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil), Indonesian and Thai.
To switch, use the language menu at the top of any dashboard page.
Emails to you are written in the dashboard language you used last.
These help pages come in the dashboard languages. An article that isn't translated yet shows in English, with a short note at the top.
Your customers' side: 12 languages
Your collect page, the thank-you page, your review walls and your standalone page at laudely.com are available in 12 languages. That's more than the dashboard has, so you can welcome customers and visitors from more places in their own language.
These are the 12 languages, with the code you use for data-lang (see below):
| Language | Code |
|---|---|
| English | en |
| Traditional Chinese | zh-TW |
| Simplified Chinese | zh-CN |
| Japanese | ja |
| Korean | ko |
| Spanish (Latin America) | es |
| Portuguese (Brazil) | pt-BR |
| Indonesian | id |
| Thai | th |
| German | de |
| French | fr |
| Italian | it |
The first nine are also the dashboard languages.
How your collect page picks a language
The collect page opens in the language of the customer's browser, if it's one of the 12. Otherwise, it opens in English.
The page itself has no language menu.
To send a link in a set language, use the invitation templates on Invite customers. Pick the Customer's language, and the link in the template opens the collect page in that language.
How walls and your standalone page pick a language
Buttons and labels on a review wall, such as Read more, appear in the visitor's language when it's one of the 12.
The reviews themselves show in the language they were written in. That's the default, and it lets visitors see that you have customers from other countries.
If you switch on Translate reviews for visitors in Settings > Display languages, you choose the languages to translate into. Reviews from your collect page are then shown in the visitor's language when it's one of your display languages, and in your default language when it isn't.
Reviews you imported or typed in always stay as written.
On your standalone page, visitors can also pick a language from the menu on the page.
To show a wall in one fixed language, whatever the visitor uses, add data-lang to its embed code with one of the codes above, for example data-lang="ja". Press ? next to Embed code on the wall's page in Widgets (the dashboard calls a wall a widget) to see where it goes.
Limits by plan: The same on every plan: all 12 display languages, and translation of reviews from your collect page when you switch it on.
