Add a wall to WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow or Framer

Copy one line of embed code from Laudely, paste it into your website builder, and the reviews you approve appear on your site by themselves.

Your review wall (called a widget in the dashboard) goes on your website with one line of code. Paste it once, and every review you approve and publish shows up there by itself.

Before you start

You need a widget first. If you don't have one yet, open Widgets > New widget; Create a review wall walks you through it.

A wall only loads on the websites listed under Allowed domains on the widget's page. Add every address your site uses, one per line:

  • both versions of your domain, with and without www, for example example.com and www.example.com

  • any other address the wall should work on, such as a subdomain like shop.example.com or a preview address your builder gives you

The match is exact, so each address needs its own line. Press Save after a change.

Copy the code

  1. Open Widgets and click your widget.

  2. Under Embed code, press Copy.

The code is a single script tag. Always copy it from the dashboard rather than typing it, because it contains your widget's own ID.

Paste it into your website

Paste the code where you want the wall to appear. The same steps are under How to add it to your site on the widget's page.

WordPress

Edit the page, add a “Custom HTML” block and paste the code. With Elementor or Divi, use their HTML widget.

Shopify

In the theme editor, add a “Custom Liquid” section (or edit the page template) and paste the code.

Wix

Choose Add → Embed Code → Embed HTML, paste the code and resize the frame so the whole wall fits. You can also use a Custom Element.

Webflow

Drag an Embed element onto the page, paste the code, then publish the site.

Framer

Choose Insert → Embed, pick “HTML”, paste the code and publish.

Optional settings in the code

You can add two optional attributes inside the script tag, next to the others:

  • data-target="#my-element" shows the wall inside the element on your page with that ID, instead of where the code sits. If no element has that ID, the wall appears where the code is.

  • data-lang="ja" shows the wall's own words in Japanese for every visitor. If Translate reviews for visitors is on and Japanese is one of your Display languages, reviews from your collect page are shown in Japanese too. Without it, the wall's words follow each visitor's browser language. Reviews follow the translation rules in Create a review wall. The language codes are listed in Languages in Laudely.

If the wall doesn't show

  • Nothing appears at all? Check Allowed domains: the address in your browser's address bar must match one line exactly, including or leaving out www.

  • Looking at the builder's editor? Some builders don't run embedded code inside the editor. Publish the page, then check your live site.

  • Does the wall just say "No testimonials yet"? The code works, but no review matches. The wall shows only reviews that are Approved & public, only highlighted ones if Show highlighted testimonials only is ticked, and only reviews on the ticked topics or tags if you use Show only reviews on certain topics.

  • A change hasn't appeared yet? After you approve a review or save a setting, a wall on your site can take up to about 15 minutes to update.

  • Is your space locked? Its walls don't load until the space is back online.

Still stuck? Email support@laudely.com with the address of the page.

Good to know

The wall loads in the background and never blocks your page. Its styles are kept separate from your site's, so your theme can't break the wall and the wall can't change your design. The one exception: if you choose My website's font under Look, the wall uses your site's font.

The code loads the wall from files.laudely.com, and the wall then fetches your reviews from laudely.com. Code you copied earlier from laudely.com keeps working, so there's nothing to change on your site. If your site sets a Content Security Policy, allow https://files.laudely.com in script-src and media-src, https://laudely.com in connect-src, 'unsafe-inline' in style-src (the wall's styles live inside the wall), and https: in img-src (some reviewer photos come from the review platform). If you choose Handwritten under Look, also allow https://laudely.com in style-src and font-src; otherwise the wall shows the standard font.

Walls on Free carry a small "Made with Laudely" link, which Starter removes. Walls set no cookies.

The wall runs on your website, so mention in your own privacy notice that you use Laudely to collect and show reviews. On Starter, Laudely also counts views and clicks on your walls, as daily totals only.
