Delete your account
Deleting your account takes your spaces offline, ends any subscription and removes your data. Here's what happens, when, and what to do first.
Deleting your Laudely account takes every space offline and permanently removes your data. It can't be undone, so read this page before you start.
Before you start
Want a copy of your data? Download it before you delete: open Account, find Export my data and press Download my data. The ZIP holds links, not the files, so save the photos, videos and screenshots you want to keep from those links and check that the files you saved open, because the links stop working when you delete. If the download doesn't work, write to support@laudely.com and we'll send your copy within 30 days.
Paid recently? Deleting cancels your subscription at once and doesn't by itself give a refund. If your first payment was within the last 14 days, you can still ask for a full refund at support@laudely.com, before deleting or up to 14 days after.
Only want to stop paying? Cancel your subscription instead. Your account moves to Free and your reviews are kept.
Only want to remove one space? Deleting a single space isn't possible yet; spaces are deleted together with your account. To pay for fewer spaces, see Add or remove spaces on Starter.
Delete your account
Open Account (your email address at the top of the dashboard).
Scroll down to Delete account.
In the box, type your email address exactly as the label shows it.
Press Delete my account.
If you have a subscription, the form reminds you that deleting ends it immediately. Laudely ends the subscription with Polar first. If that can't be confirmed, nothing is deleted and you're asked to try again in a few minutes, so you're never billed for a deleted account.
What happens right away
Your subscription is cancelled.
All your spaces go offline. Your collect pages, review walls and standalone pages stop working, and printed QR codes lead to a page that doesn't exist.
Public files are deleted: photos, videos, logos, avatars and blacked-out screenshots.
You're signed out.
What happens after 90 days
Everything else is permanently deleted 90 days later. That includes your reviews, your settings, the private originals of your screenshots and your sign-in record.
Billing event records are kept for accounting, tax and audit for 7 years after the end of the year of each event, then deleted. They contain no payment details, and when your account is deleted for good, your account ID is removed from them, so they no longer identify you. Your invoices stay available from Polar.
If you sign in again during those 90 days, you'll see This account has been deleted and the date your data will be removed. A deleted account can't be restored, not even by our support team.
Things to know
The embed code on your website stays where it is, but the wall shows nothing. Remove the code when it suits you.
Posts you published on social media, and replies you posted on review sites, stay there until you remove them.
Copies that other people saved, or that browsers cached, are outside our control.
