Cancel your subscription and ask for a refund
Cancel Starter online at any time, keep it until the end of the period you paid for, and see when you can get your money back.
You can cancel Starter online at any time, without emailing anyone. It stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, and then your account moves to Free.
Cancel your subscription
Click Plan at the top of the dashboard to open Plan and billing.
Press Manage subscription. Polar's customer portal opens.
Cancel your subscription there.
Polar, our reseller and merchant of record, sells Laudely to you and takes care of payments, invoices and sales tax. That's why cancelling happens in its portal, and why Laudely never sees your card details.
If you can't use the portal, for example because you can't sign in, email support@laudely.com from your account's email address and ask us to cancel. We cancel within one business day of receiving your message and confirm by email. As with the portal, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
After you cancel
Plan and billing shows Ends on with the date your plan ends. Until then, everything on Starter keeps working. If you change your mind, you can resume the subscription from Manage subscription any time before that date.
When the date comes, your account moves to Free. Your reviews are kept, but walls and your standalone page show only 10 per space, and some features pause. What happens when your paid plan ends explains the details.
Your Starter price is kept only while your subscription continues without a break. If it ends and you subscribe again later, the price at that time applies.
Other things you can do in Manage subscription
update your card
download your invoices
To switch between monthly and yearly billing, write to support@laudely.com from your account's email address.
Refunds
First payment: a full refund if you ask within 14 days, monthly or yearly. No reason needed.
Later monthly renewals: not refunded or prorated. You can cancel at any time, and Starter stays on until the end of the period.
Yearly renewals: a full refund if you ask within 14 days after the renewal charge.
Extra spaces: a space you add during a period is charged right away, prorated for the rest of that period. That charge isn't refunded or prorated, unless your first payment is refunded within 14 days; then it's refunded too. Removing a space takes effect at your next renewal, and the current period isn't refunded.
Deleting your account: this cancels your subscription straight away. If you delete it within 14 days of your first payment, you can still ask for a full refund up to 14 days after deleting it.
If we close or suspend your account, or our service fails: if we close your account, we refund the unused part of your paid period, by day, without you having to ask. If we suspend your account or its paid features for 7 or more days in a row and then restore them, we refund the days they were unavailable, by day, without you having to ask. If the paid features are unavailable to you for 7 or more days in a row because of a problem on our side, you can ask for a refund of those days, by day. The 7-day threshold doesn't limit a refund that Polar's terms or the law require for a shorter outage.
If you object to a new subprocessor: if we can't resolve your reasonable data-protection objection to a new service provider, you can end your subscription or your account, and we refund the unused part of your paid period, by day. To end your subscription at once, write to support@laudely.com and we end it the same day; cancelling in Polar's portal only ends it at the end of the billing period.
Nothing here limits any rights you have under the law that applies to you. The full rules are in the Terms of Service, and a summary is on the pricing page.
How to ask for a refund
Write to support@laudely.com from the email address of your Laudely account and tell us which payment you want refunded. We issue the refund through Polar, which pays it back to your original payment method. Polar's customer portal is for cancelling and invoices; it doesn't take refund requests.
When we refund your first payment or a yearly renewal in full under this policy, we also end the subscription period it covered, and your account moves to the Free plan. A refund that covers only an extra space, a billing correction or another partial refund doesn't end your subscription by itself; we tell you what a refund covers before we make it.
If a payment fails
If a renewal charge doesn't go through, Plan and billing shows Payment failed and we email you. Open Manage subscription and update your card; Starter stays on while the charge is retried.
If every retry fails, your account moves to Free. Your reviews are always kept.
Emails about your plan and payments are always sent, even if you've turned off other emails from Laudely.
