Aspect ratings and the “Who served you?” question
Let customers rate up to 3 details of their visit with stars, and pick the person who served them. Both are optional extras for your collect page.
Your collect page can ask for two optional extras: star ratings for up to 3 details you name, such as Food, Service and Ambience, and a list of staff that customers can pick from. Both work on every plan, and neither appears until you set it up.
Add aspect ratings
Open Settings and find Collect page questions.
Under Aspect ratings, press Add aspect.
Type a name, such as Food. Each name can be up to 20 characters and can only be used once.
Add up to 3 aspects. Use the arrows to change their order, or remove one you don't need.
Press Save at the bottom of the page. Nothing changes until you do.
An empty aspect can't be saved, so fill in a name or remove it first.
How aspect ratings work
Customers see Rate the details under Your rating. They tap a star to rate a detail and tap it again to clear it. Rating the details is optional.
When a customer rates at least one aspect, writing becomes optional, so stars alone are fine. Without aspects, a customer must write at least 10 characters or add a video.
Only the stars are stored. Laudely never writes text for the customer, and you can't change the stars they gave.
Aspect names are translated into your display languages automatically when you save. What visitors see shows the result; it can take a moment to update. If you rename an aspect later, older reviews keep the name they were given under.
Show aspect ratings on your wall and page
On a review wall (called a widget in the dashboard): open it under Widgets and use Show aspect ratings in Display options. It's on by default and only appears when your space has aspects. If Show star ratings is off, aspect ratings are hidden too.
On your standalone page: use Show aspect ratings on the standalone page under Aspect ratings in Settings. It's on by default.
Where aspect ratings are hidden, a review that has only stars, with no text or video, is left out, because it would have nothing to show.
Add your staff list
Open Settings and find Staff.
Press Add a person and type a name.
Add up to 30 people. Each name can be up to 40 characters.
Press Save.
Use first names or nicknames only, and make sure the people on your list know their name may appear in reviews. With an empty list, your collect page shows no staff field.
Where staff names appear
Customers see Who served you? on your collect page. Answering is optional, and the name they pick is stored with the review.
Staff names are hidden on walls and on your standalone page by default. To show a small "Served by" line, turn on Show who served the customer in a widget's Display options, or Show “Served by” on the standalone page under Staff in Settings.
On Starter, your weekly report and Monthly report list Staff named by customers: up to 5 people, most often named first. If you turn on Show each person's average stars and negative reviews in the report, those numbers are added. Only you see them; they are never public.
Use these numbers to coach your team, not as targets. Don't reward or rank staff by how many reviews or how many stars they get; Google's policy forbids review targets for staff (see Review rules to know).
Change or remove a name
Removing or renaming a person on your list leaves their name on past reviews.
To take a name off one review:
Open Manage reviews and find the review.
Press the gear icon (Review settings) on its row.
Tick Clear the staff name.
Press Save.
A name can only be cleared, never changed to someone else.
Limits by plan: Free: up to 3 aspects and 30 staff names, shown on your collect page, walls and standalone page. Starter: the same, plus the staff numbers in your weekly and monthly reports.
