AI writing help on your collect page
When a customer writes only a few words, AI can ask one neutral question and tidy their own words. The customer chooses what is sent.
Some customers write only a few words, such as "Great service." With AI writing help on, Laudely asks them one neutral follow-up question and offers a tidied version of their own words. The customer decides what's sent.
It's part of Starter, and it stays off until you switch it on.
Switch it on
Open Settings and find AI helps customers finish their review.
Turn on Offer AI writing help on the collect page.
Press Save at the bottom of the page.
To switch it off, turn the switch off and save.
What customers see
The help appears when a customer presses Send testimonial with a short text: under about 60 characters, or about 25 in Chinese, Japanese, Korean or Thai. It's offered once per review.
A window asks Would you like to share a little more? with one question. A note says: “This question and the tidied version are generated automatically by the system's AI, which only rearranges what you wrote. Please check before you submit.”
The customer types an answer and presses Continue. Or they press Skip and submit to send what they wrote.
While the AI works, they see “Tidying your words…”.
Under Choose the version to submit, they see Your own words (their text plus their answer) next to Tidied by AI. Their own words are selected first, and they can edit either version.
They press Submit review. Only the version they chose is sent.
What the AI may and may not do
It asks the same kind of neutral question whatever stars the customer gave. It never mentions rewards.
The tidied version may only rearrange the customer's own words, in the same language. It can't add praise, numbers or links, and it must keep any complaint.
Laudely checks the tidied version before the customer sees it. If it fails the check, it isn't shown, and the customer's own words are sent.
If anything goes wrong, or the AI takes more than 10 seconds, the step ends and the customer's own words are sent. Nothing they typed is lost.
How it's labeled
A review counts as AI-assisted only when the customer chooses Tidied by AI.
On your walls and standalone page, it carries the line “The customer used AI to tidy the wording and confirmed it”. This line is always shown and can't be turned off.
In Manage reviews, the review's Review settings say Customer used AI writing help and show what the customer wrote before the AI tidied it.
Like every review from your collect page, you can't edit its text.
Good to know
The question may mention your Custom tags, so it fits your kind of business. While AI writing help is on, don't use tags for internal notes.
Laudely keeps the question, the answer and the tidied version for 90 days.
Laudely doesn't offer to copy the tidied text to Google or any other review site. The review is sent to you only.
Limits by plan: Free: not included, and the setting can't be turned on. Starter: included; you switch it on.
